There's so much to do in Steamboat proper, but nearby Routt County is definitely worth exploring. North Routt County is home to the breathtaking Steamboat Lake and Hahn's Peak. You can also spend the afternoon paddle boarding at Pearl Lake. Head south to Stagecoach Reservoir for some trophy fishing. The kids will love visiting the historic mining "ghost" town of Oak Creek or Yampa, known as the "gateway to the flattops".
